Senior Semiconductor Equipment Engineer (Quantum Computing)

What you will do

• Own semiconductor equipment installations from requirements review and facility readiness through FAT, incoming inspection, installation, IQ/OQ, qualification, and production handover.
• Bring new cleanroom and manufacturing capacity online by coordinating equipment moves, facility connections, commissioning, OEM activities, and production readiness.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, spare-parts plans, documentation, service requirements, and reliability improvement programs.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment failures, perform root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and improve uptime, maintainability, safety, and cost of ownership.
• Coordinate technical work with equipment manufacturers, field service engineers, contractors, suppliers, and internal engineering, facilities, manufacturing, and EHS teams.
• Mentor equipment engineers and technicians while establishing installation procedures, maintenance standards, acceptance criteria, troubleshooting guides, and engineering change practices.

Requirements

• Significant hands-on experience with semiconductor, nanofabrication, or similarly complex manufacturing equipment.
• Strong experience in equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and qualification.
• Extensive experience with high-vacuum systems such as PVD and CVD.
• Understanding of equipment utilities and facility interfaces, including electrical power, process gases, vacuum, exhaust, cooling systems, and chemical services.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic, control, and process-related equipment problems independently.
• Strong planning, coordination, documentation, communication, and root-cause analysis skills, with the ability to manage multiple technical priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with plasma etching, ALD, lithography, wet processing, or vacuum deposition systems.
• Knowledge of industrial controls, sensors, MFCs, pumps, RF systems, robotics, and equipment automation.
• Experience with equipment data, CMMS, MES, SECS/GEM, FDC, or equipment monitoring systems.
