Maintenance Engineer (Biotech Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead troubleshooting activities for biotech manufacturing equipment and utility installations to prevent or minimize downtime.
• Coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance tasks based on equipment criticality, production schedules, and customer priorities.
• Coordinate J&J technicians, vendors, and peer maintenance engineers while managing stakeholder expectations.
• Support root cause problem solving and apply appropriate RCA tools and methodologies.
• Analyze maintenance reports and data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement process improvements.
• Define spare-part strategies, maintain technical knowledge, and support maintenance deliverables for the new facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical subjects, or MBO-4 vocational education in electrical, instrumentation, or mechanical engineering.
• 3–7 years of experience in pharmaceutical or equivalent industrial environments.
• Hands-on experience with various types of equipment in a factory environment.
• Strong communication skills for working with internal and external customers up to departmental management level.
• Professional English communication skills are required.
• Computer proficiency, including MS Office and CMMS systems such as SAP; familiarity with RCA tools and methodologies.
