Senior Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Design, build, test, deploy, and operate secure, reliable, and scalable cloud-native applications and services.
• Own complex features and technical initiatives from problem definition and architecture through production and continuous improvement.
• Translate customer and product challenges into technical designs and implementation plans.
• Build maintainable APIs, services, and distributed systems with robust testing, observability, monitoring, and operational processes.
• Use AI coding assistants, agents, and AI-enabled workflows to improve development, testing, debugging, documentation, reviews, and operations.
• Lead technical discussions, review designs and code, mentor engineers, and collaborate across engineering, product, UX, quality, and security teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience and strong experience building and operating production systems.
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages, with experience designing APIs, services, distributed systems, or cloud-native applications.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, observability, debugging, production operations, scalability, reliability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, influencing engineering decisions, mentoring engineers, and communicating across cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted software engineering tools and workflows while maintaining accountability for quality and outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS or another major cloud platform, including containers, serverless architectures, event-driven systems, infrastructure as code, or distributed data platforms.
• Experience with AI tools and agents such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar technologies.
• Experience applying LLMs, agents, RAG, tool calling, MCP, or AI APIs in products or engineering workflows.
• Experience in healthcare, regulated environments, or systems handling sensitive data.
