Staff Software Engineer (AI)

Location: USA Remote, New York, NY, or Silicon Valley, CA; flexible hybrid work is available at the Soho location.

Base salary: $211,000–$285,000 USD annually for the NYC range.

What you will do

• Own the architecture of major provider engagement platform domains, including practice intelligence APIs, recommendation serving, orchestration, and AI-assisted management.
• Design event and data pipelines that compute engagement signals, aggregate practice profiles, and support personalization.
• Integrate Data Science ML models into production through model serving, feature pipelines, monitoring, and feedback loops.
• Define APIs and service contracts connecting platform services with product surfaces such as the homepage, in-product messaging, CRM, and sales tools.
• Lead complex cross-team projects, make build-versus-buy infrastructure decisions, and drive technical alignment.
• Ship production code with C#, React, and AWS while mentoring engineers and improving engineering practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership.
• Experience building data-intensive systems, including event pipelines, aggregation services, or real-time data-serving systems.
• Experience taking ML models from notebooks to production in collaboration with Data Science teams.
• Strong API design, data modeling, schema, and interface development skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, decompose complex product challenges, and define concrete technical milestones.
• Excellent communication, design documentation, trade-off analysis, and production delivery skills.
