AI Frameworks Engineer

Location: Leixlip, Ireland; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned site and off-site work.

Annual salary: €76,900–€142,100, plus applicable compensation components and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and optimize AI frameworks including OpenVINO, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Implement distributed algorithms for model parallelism, data parallelism, and dataflow-based communication.
• Transform computational graph representations and develop machine learning primitives for mathematical libraries.
• Profile distributed deep learning models, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement optimization solutions.
• Optimize code across different computing hardware backends and collaborate with machine learning researchers and framework teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with 4+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Strong C++ programming skills, including debugging, performance analysis, and modern software design.
• Understanding of multithreading and experience developing thread-safe code.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and compiler technologies.
• Hands-on experience with numerical modeling, high-performance computing, or computer vision.

Nice to have

• Experience with generative AI models such as Transformers or diffusion models.
• Knowledge of quantization, pruning, and other model optimization techniques.
• Experience with Hugging Face Transformers, OpenVINO Toolkit, or similar inference runtimes.
• Open-source contribution experience and a background in performance optimization.
