Senior Materials & Processes Eng (Aerospace)

Location: Belfast, United Kingdom; occasional travel within the UK

What you will do

• Support composite material activities in a production environment and resolve production issues related to composite technologies.
• Improve the cost and quality of composite parts.
• Contribute to material selection and answer material-related queries from Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality.
• Support material concessions, qualifications, testing, and failure analysis.
• Build stakeholder relationships across Design, Procurement, Supply Chain Quality, Plant Engineering, and the Materials & Processes community.
• Contribute to future aircraft development and industrialization improvement projects.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or Science, or an engineering-related HNC.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant Materials & Processes engineering experience.
• Knowledge of assembly and/or surface-related materials and technologies, including solution development, materials qualification, M&P processes, testing, and failure analysis.
• Successful completion of BPSS and Export Control checks, including a criminal record check, is required.
• Ability to work in Belfast and travel occasionally within the UK.
