Senior Procurement Specialist (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Manage daily procurement requirements for critical and high-value raw materials, parts, and services.
• Create, maintain, expedite, and defer purchase orders in SAP based on MRP requirements and approved requisitions.
• Request and evaluate supplier quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and optimize price-volume purchases.
• Manage supplier performance, documentation, forecasts, quality issues, and relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Develop new supply sources, implement sourcing strategy elements, and resolve invoice, pricing, and delivery issues.
• Maintain procurement master data and create SAP reports to improve order processing, inventory turns, and supplier performance.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of purchasing or procurement experience, or 5 years with a bachelor's degree.
• High school diploma required; a bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience managing supplier performance, selecting vendors, negotiating agreements, and implementing new suppliers.
• Strong organizational, communication, decision-making, analytical, and root-cause problem-solving skills.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP/MRP systems is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, influence change, and maintain strong attention to detail.

Nice to have

• CPSM, APICS, or another supply chain certification.
• Previous experience with SAP procurement processes.
