Senior Global Mobility Specialist (Immigration)

Location: Remote; listed locations include South Africa, Spain, the Philippines, and Poland. Work from anywhere.

What you will do

• Manage complex and high-risk work permits, visas, extensions, renewals, status changes, and immigration assessments end to end.
• Handle escalations and advise onboarding, offboarding, and lifecycle teams on eligibility, documentation, compliance, transfers, and relocations.
• Monitor immigration risks, delays, policy changes, and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Maintain accurate country requirements, processing times, and procedures in the immigration knowledge base.
• Mentor Junior Global Mobility Specialists and build relationships with external counsel, vendors, and government representatives.
• Track processing performance and design improvements that make mobility faster, more compliant, and easier for employees.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience managing complex, cross-border immigration cases.
• Strong knowledge of immigration compliance and cross-border workforce requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience managing external immigration counsel and working with international government agencies.
• Experience mentoring junior team members or reviewing their work.
• Practical understanding of data privacy for employee immigration records.
• Fluent English required. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in an EOR, global mobility firm, immigration consultancy, or in-house mobility function.
• Knowledge of another language.
