Senior Product Owner (Fintech)

Location: Remote, US

Salary: $110,000–$125,000 USD annually, depending on experience, plus bonus

What you will do

• Lead delivery for Billing and Data teams by managing backlogs, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and prioritizing engineering-ready work.
• Write detailed epics and user stories with precise acceptance criteria, and define MVPs aligned with product strategy.
• Conduct UAT, including writing and executing SQL queries in BigQuery to validate pipeline outputs, transformations, and data accuracy.
• Coordinate release planning, release notes, rollout communications, QA processes, and documentation.
• Build deep expertise in five billing platforms, their architectures, business rules, integrations, risks, and technical debt.
• Partner with product, engineering, finance, data, program management, and customer-facing teams to coordinate dependencies, reporting needs, training, and stakeholder communication.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Technical Product Manager in platform, infrastructure, or data-centric environments.
• Technical depth sufficient to serve as the subject matter expert for owned products and features.
• Strong understanding of cloud data platforms, ingestion pipelines, transformation layers, and tools such as BigQuery, dbt, and Airflow.
• Ability to write and execute SQL queries against BigQuery for UAT validation.
• Experience with Agile frameworks and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Figma.
• Experience managing UAT, software releases, QA processes, documentation, and communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial systems, billing platforms, accounting modules, SaaS, or fintech.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with data governance, GDPR, CCPA, or privacy-compliant data handling.
• Computer science education or equivalent technical experience.
