Senior Software Engineer (Go)

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States; hybrid workplace. Candidates must be US-based, ideally within commuting distance of Dallas–Fort Worth.

What you will do

• Design, build, ship, and maintain Go backend services and streaming data pipelines at real-world scale.
• Own event schemas, data contracts, durable messaging patterns, read models, and warehouse tables for analytics and reporting.
• Build financial data flows covering payment processor ingestion, fee reconciliation, and ledger-backed reporting.
• Ingest and reconcile partner and payment processor data with idempotent, replayable backfills.
• Develop GraphQL and API layers, migrate reporting paths to the new architecture, and contribute to CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and developer tooling.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and UK engineering and data teams, mentor junior developers, and own features through production, including live event support.

Requirements

• US-based; ideally within commuting distance of Dallas–Fort Worth.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience and strong recent Go experience.
• Deep SQL, data modeling, production database, OLAP/OLTP, and large-dataset experience.
• Experience with event-driven or streaming systems, durable messaging, change data capture, delivery guarantees, replayability, payment processors, and financial reconciliation.
• Hands-on experience with data warehouses and transformation tooling, AWS, GCP BigQuery, Kubernetes, GraphQL, API design, CI/CD, and testing across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels.
• Ability to own ambiguous problems through shipped designs, communicate clearly asynchronously, and use AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor daily.

Nice to have

• Schema and data contract tooling, typed event design, Protobuf, or similar technologies.
• Experience building MCP servers or AI-augmented internal tooling.
• Additional proficiency with TypeScript, Node, or other languages alongside Go.
• Experience with data quality monitoring, statistical analysis, anomaly detection, parking, mobility, ticketing, or live events.
