Material Planner (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Send purchase orders to suppliers and ensure confirmations are received within 48 hours.
• Process order confirmations in the MRP system and maintain accurate delivery dates and supplier information.
• Monitor open purchase orders, chase overdue confirmations and deliveries, and take recovery actions.
• Hold weekly supplier reviews and identify, communicate, and resolve supply risks.
• Provide shipment information to Logistics for inbound transport bookings.
• Resolve supplier invoice discrepancies and support improvements to order management and supply chain processes.

Requirements

• Strong supplier communication and relationship management skills.
• Experience or understanding of purchase order and supplier management processes.
• Confidence working with MRP or ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organisation, attention to detail, prioritisation, and follow-through.
• Ability to work effectively with Logistics, Production, Planning, Finance, Customer Experience, and suppliers.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to understand the impact of supplier delays on production and customer deliveries.
