R&D Project Manager (R&D Product Development)

What you will do

• Oversee key R&D new product development projects, including strategy, end-to-end delivery, schedules, budgets, milestones, and results reporting.
• Define and track R&D Product Development metrics, analytics, portfolio performance, trends, and issues.
• Coordinate Program Managers, Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Manufacturing, Procurement, contract manufacturers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and opportunities.
• Facilitate development engineering teams and hold them accountable for internal processes and GOLD/MAP process toll-gate deliverables.
• Manage cross-project dependencies, escalate issues to R&D Management and Program Managers, and solve complex problems with broad business impact.
• Act as liaison with external auditors, track requirements and compliance deliverables, and drive measurable continuous improvement across the organization.

Requirements

• Competent use of MS Office, MS Teams, MS Project or equivalent, Agile/Jira, and SAP.
• Experience working with R&D Product Development product lifecycle teams to report on portfolio performance and identify, analyze, and communicate product or solution trends and issues.
• Experience planning and leading New Product Development processes and practices aligned with business goals and objectives.
• Experience as an R&D Project Manager subject matter expert on internal and external cross-functional initiatives, projects, and programs.
• Experience liaising with internal teams and external parties to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to agreed functionality.
• Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, communication, presentation, and writing skills.
• Documented experience managing New Product Development programs with globally distributed cross-functional teams.
• 5–10+ years of successful project management experience or equivalent experience with large-scale programs.
• Familiarity with Lean Principles, successful team leadership, collaborative facilitation, team building, and improving interaction and efficiency across organizational silos.
• Experience in distributed work environments or international business settings.
• Engineering or another applicable technical degree, such as Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Systems Engineering.
