Senior Portfolio Manager Private Equity – Fund Investments

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid setup with the possibility to work from home 2–3 days per week.

What you will do

• Define capital deployment priorities through market mapping, investment universe analysis, and fund selection.
• Lead private equity fund investments end to end, from opportunity assessment and investment conviction to recommendations, negotiations, and commitment.
• Monitor private equity fund commitments, identify issues, and engage with General Partners.
• Represent the organization in discussions with General Partners, LP peers, and internal stakeholders.
• Provide investment thought leadership and coach team members through deal execution and portfolio management.

Requirements

• More than 10 years of relevant professional experience, with a strong preference for at least 8 years in private equity fund investing.
• End-to-end experience in private equity fund evaluation, due diligence, negotiations, and execution.
• Experience leading investment recommendations and decision processes, including presentations to investment committees.
• Strong analytical capability, structured thinking, independent judgment, and ownership of outcomes.
• Professional fluency in English, written and verbal.
• Master’s degree or equivalent with a strong academic record.
