Avionics Engineering Internship - Summer 2027 (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Design and test custom PCBs for embedded, analog, and digital electronics.
• Develop hardware systems end to end, including schematic capture, layout, manufacturing, and testing.
• Support embedded system development using microcontrollers and sensors.
• Own an electronics project such as an embedded camera system, thermocouple logger, or analog thermoelectric cooler controller.
• Collaborate with aerospace engineers in a startup environment on spacecraft electronics.

Requirements

• Must be actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Currently pursuing Electrical Engineering or a related degree.
• Prior experience designing printed circuit boards.
• Familiarity with microcontroller programming and some experience or interest in Python.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and qualify as a U.S. person for access to export-controlled technology.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to debug hardware prototypes.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Altium or other PCB design tools.
• Entering junior year or later in the academic program.
• Hands-on experience in project teams or laboratories.
