Senior Network Designer (Wireless/Cloud)

Location: Onsite at 8200 Dixie Rd, Brampton, Ontario, Canada. Travel requirements are up to 10%.

What you will do

• Lead the design, integration, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and evolution of cloud-native network functions and subscriber data platforms.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert for wireless data policy, DPI, subscriber data repositories, AAA, API gateways, and cloud-native network solutions.
• Design and deploy network functions using Docker, Kubernetes, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
• Automate engineering workflows and manage CNF and VNF platform lifecycles.
• Build laboratory environments for validation, capacity analysis, bottleneck investigation, and what-if simulations.
• Develop design specifications, acceptance test plans, implementation procedures, and engineering recommendations while collaborating with project, operations, product, IT, engineering, and vendor teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in wireless network engineering and cloud environments, including 2+ years of hands-on cloud computing experience.
• Deep knowledge of 5G Core, LTE, 3G architectures, 3GPP standards, call flows, and large-scale carrier network deployments.
• Experience with policy control functions, AAA, API gateways, LDAP, subscriber data management, spine-leaf architectures, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, Kubernetes networking, and CNI plugins.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, microservices, CI/CD pipelines, workflow automation, Linux administration, and Python or Shell scripting.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Jaeger, and ELK/EFK Stack.
• University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience, plus strong analytical, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

• Cloud certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
