VP, Senior Cloud Data Architecture & Migration Leader

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia, United States. Hybrid work is available from home near a hirify.global Hub or from an office, with required commuting to the nearest Hub for regular in-person meetings, training, and culture events. Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $170,000–$290,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise cloud data migration strategy, roadmaps, prioritization, and execution across complex modernization initiatives.
• Define the vision, capabilities, adoption strategy, and value roadmap for cloud data platforms and data products.
• Provide architecture leadership across cloud data platforms, lakehouse and data mesh patterns, event-driven architecture, API-enabled data sharing, semantic layers, and AI and analytics ecosystems.
• Establish reusable migration frameworks, product operating models, reference architectures, governance controls, and implementation standards.
• Align business, technology, security, risk, data, analytics, product, and operations stakeholders through executive communications and decision-making forums.
• Coach architects, product owners, engineering teams, and delivery leaders on cloud-native data design, migration, product management, and operational readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 8+ years of related experience, or 10+ years of hands-on experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years leading data platform modernization, cloud migration, enterprise data architecture, data product, or large-scale technology transformation initiatives.
• Experience with cloud-native data platforms, data lakes, lakehouse architectures, data warehousing, data integration, governance, security, IAM, data protection, analytics, and operational data capabilities.
• Experience defining enterprise roadmaps, migration strategies, product capability plans, adoption strategies, implementation standards, and measurable business outcomes.
• Experience with senior stakeholder engagement, executive communications, prioritization, and enterprise-scale decision-making.
• Experience with Agile delivery, JIRA or similar tools, globally distributed teams, and deep knowledge of SAFe Agile; willingness to travel for business is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in credit card, banking, financial services, or fintech organizations.
• Knowledge of AWS, GCP, cloud-native data services, containerized platforms, microservices, cloud automation, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and orchestration.
• Experience with AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, high-availability workloads, and sensitive data in regulated environments.
• Experience leading data product strategy, platform adoption, user experience improvements, and consumption-based performance optimization.
