Scientist, Integration and Test Engineer (Military Avionics Systems)

Location: Palm Bay, Florida — onsite. The schedule follows a 9/80 arrangement, with every other Friday off. The role requires the ability to obtain a US Secret security clearance; security clearances may only be granted to US citizens.

What you will do

• Lead integration and test planning, execution, optimization, and readiness activities across F-35 and advanced mission technology programs.
• Develop enterprise-wide test strategies, test plans, verification approaches, integration roadmaps, requirements, procedures, and detailed test cases.
• Analyze units under test and implement fault detection, fault isolation, diagnostic, and verification testing for electrical and electronic systems.
• Develop test-set software using VDATS or similar automated test systems and support the design of interface test adapters, fixtures, cable assemblies, and interface hardware.
• Manage integration and test engineers, resources, risks, milestones, configuration management, and technical coordination with engineering, manufacturing, program management, and customers.
• Support proposals, technical reviews, basis-of-estimate development, root-cause analysis, and resolution of issues affecting test schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field with at least 12 years of relevant experience; alternatively, a graduate degree with 10 years of experience or 16 years of experience without a degree.
• At least one year of experience leading integration and test activities for military avionics systems.
• At least one year of experience with Earned Value Management processes and variance reporting.
• Ability to obtain a US Secret security clearance; clearance eligibility is limited to US citizens.
• Strong electrical engineering foundation and software development experience in test environments.
• Experience with test strategies, verification and validation, instrumentation, requirements-based testing, and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and software subsystems.

Nice to have

• Active US Secret security clearance.
• Experience with automated test equipment, data acquisition, instrumentation, LabVIEW, LabWindows CVI, Python, C, C++, Rust, VDATS, or similar systems.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, depot-level maintenance, production testing, or other regulated engineering environments.
• Experience with environmental, functional, safety, flight-worthiness, or formal verification testing.
• Experience establishing test facilities, ground support equipment, specialized test assets, or interface test adapters for military systems.
