Company

hirify.global develops aerospace systems and spacecraft avionics solutions, including electrical ground support equipment and test architectures.

What you will do

  • Design and build EGSE for spacecraft avionics, including COTS instrument integrations, custom test boxes, panels, cabling, and harnesses.
  • Develop LabVIEW interfaces and VIs for instrument control and telemetry, plus Python or Perl automation scripts.
  • Integrate test systems with embedded single-board computers, custom analog and digital I/O, command and data handling systems, and power-switching use cases.
  • Author Integration & Test Plans, Environmental Test Plans, Acceptance Test Procedures, schematics, and bills of materials.
  • Execute functional and environmental test campaigns, troubleshoot anomalies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with systems, firmware, manufacturing test, and program management teams while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

  • U.S. person status is required because the position involves access to U.S. export-controlled information; applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents.
  • 7+ years of aerospace or defense test engineering experience with hands-on ownership of EGSE hardware, software, and documentation.
  • Production-grade LabVIEW experience and proficiency in embedded C plus Python and/or Perl for test automation and data handling.
  • Experience selecting and integrating power supplies, electronic loads, DAQ systems, oscilloscopes, and other COTS instruments.
  • Experience designing custom test fixtures and cable assemblies, reading schematics, interpreting telemetry, and debugging analog and digital interfaces.
  • Ability to write clear acceptance test procedures and integration and test plans and maintain accurate schematics and parts lists.

Nice to have

  • VxWorks, cPCI single-board computers, command and data handling architectures, or EPS backplanes.
  • VHDL/FPGA interface testing and environmental test support, including thermal-vacuum, vibration, and EMI/EMC testing.
  • Cable and harness design experience, including EMI/EMC, shielding, and grounding practices.
  • Experience with Intercept Mozaix or similar schematic, bill-of-materials, and document-control tools.

Culture & Benefits

  • Structured onboarding, mentorship, and exposure to multiple spacecraft programs.
  • Training on hirify.global-specific tools and power architectures, including Intercept Mozaix, EPS power switching, and advanced LabVIEW frameworks.
  • Technical progression toward lead or architect EGSE roles and mentoring responsibilities.
  • Annual bonus eligibility, profit sharing, 401(k) match, flexible paid time off, and medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off; relocation assistance and sign-on bonus eligibility are available.
