Head of Product Platform - AI & Data

Location: Hybrid, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home per week for full-time employees. The role supports hirify.global’s vision of becoming Australia’s leading digital insurer.

What you will do

• Lead the enterprise AI and Data platform strategy, technical roadmaps, and investment priorities.
• Enable AI and Data product squads with scalable, reusable, self-service capabilities, controls, patterns, and accelerators.
• Drive the evolution of the AI platform, including AWS, AgentCore, responsible AI controls, model and agent governance, monitoring, and scalable deployment patterns.
• Lead the Data platform evolution across Snowflake, DataOps standards, batch and real-time capabilities, data products, and migration from legacy data warehouses.
• Lead and develop two dedicated platform teams across AI and Data while strengthening engineering maturity and accountability.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, security, risk, delivery, product, and business leadership to drive adoption and enterprise outcomes.

Requirements

• Significant leadership experience across AI, Data, Analytics, technical products, or platform engineering, including ownership of enterprise-scale technology platforms.
• Strong knowledge of modern data architecture, engineering, cloud-native services, and enterprise platform operating models.
• Demonstrated experience with AWS and modern AI and Data technologies.
• Experience with technical roadmaps, investment prioritization, governance, reusable capabilities, and platform sustainability.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and influencing engineering, product, business, and executive stakeholders.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder leadership, and commercial judgment.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Generative AI, Agentic AI, Snowflake, DataOps, MLOps, dbt, observability, and responsible AI.
