Fitter & Turner Leading Hand | CNC Machine Setter

Location: Innisfail, Queensland, Australia; onsite workshop role with an initial day shift and flexibility to work afternoon shifts when required.

What you will do

• Set and program CNC machinery for component manufacturing.
• Verify first-off production components and maintain quality standards.
• Support production planning, workflow, productivity, and efficiency improvements.
• Lead by example on safety and quality in the workshop.
• Train and mentor apprentices and tradespeople.
• Collaborate with supervisors and workshop teams.

Requirements

• Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner or in a similar mechanical trade.
• Experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
• Experience setting and programming CNC machines.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.
• Ability to lead by example and support workshop team members.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing.

• Forklift, dogging, or other relevant tickets.
