Team Member (Process Operator)

Location: Hastings, Victoria, Australia; onsite at the Western Port manufacturing facility

What you will do

• Operate machinery and equipment to process and manufacture steel products.
• Support safe and efficient operations across the Western Port manufacturing departments.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
• Pack, strap and monitor products to maintain quality standards.
• Move steel products and perform physically active, hands-on work around large machinery.

Requirements

• Ability to work onsite in Hastings, Victoria, Australia.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• Flexibility and willingness to work 12-hour rotating day and night shifts, including 7:00 am–7:00 pm and 7:00 pm–7:00 am shifts.
• Ability to perform manual handling, lifting and work around heat, noise, large machinery and heights, depending on the department.
• Previous operations or manufacturing experience is not required; training and equipment are provided.

Nice to have

• Experience operating forklifts, cranes or other manufacturing equipment.
• Experience in operations or manufacturing.

Hiring process

• Submit an application and complete a series of online activities.
• Attend an online Information Session on 14 October 2026 and a face-to-face Assessment Centre on 21 or 22 October 2026.
• Successful candidates attend a site tour and complete a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen, and reference checks.
