Staff Product Manager, Trust & Safety

Location: Hybrid in Austin, Texas, or New York, New York, United States

Salary: $225,000–$255,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Own and evolve the Trust & Safety product strategy and roadmap.
• Lead product initiatives from ideation through implementation across abuse detection, scam and fraud prevention, reporting, blocking, and moderation.
• Partner with Engineering, Data Science, Design, Legal, Policy, and Operations to deliver scalable safety solutions.
• Define success metrics that balance safety, user experience, and business impact.
• Use qualitative insights, behavioral data, experimentation, and machine learning to guide product decisions.
• Drive alignment on policy implementation, risk mitigation, transparency, fairness, and user trust.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience, including ownership of complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience shipping products in Trust & Safety, platform integrity, risk, fraud, abuse prevention, moderation, or related areas.
• Strong analytical skills and fluency with experimentation, metrics, and data-driven decision-making.
• Technical fluency with infrastructure, machine learning models, and risk systems.
• Experience owning product roadmaps end to end and balancing delivery, long-term vision, user experience, compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence Legal, Policy, Operations, and Data Science stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in social media, marketplaces, user-generated content, or two-sided platforms.
• Experience with machine learning models for detection, ranking, or classification.
• Familiarity with global safety regulations, including the Online Safety Act, DSA, and platform liability frameworks.
• Experience designing reporting, appeals, enforcement, moderation, or operations workflows.
• Passion for online safety, digital well-being, and equitable platforms.
