Chief Engineer, Manufacturing Excellence (Power Electronics/Manufacturing): Leading the technical strategy and execution of scalable manufacturing processes for utility-scale inverter systems with an accent on process capability, factory readiness, quality, and continuous improvement. Focus on standardizing multi-site operations, validating production processes, improving yield and throughput, and resolving complex manufacturing issues across internal facilities and contract manufacturers.
Location: Mesa, Arizona, USA; hybrid as required

What you will do
- Lead manufacturing excellence strategy, governance, and execution across internal facilities and contract manufacturers.
- Standardize manufacturing processes, work instructions, control plans, quality checks, metrics, and continuous-improvement practices across multiple sites.
- Lead design-for-manufacturability and design-for-test reviews, process architecture, PFMEA, SPC, APQP, validation, and production-readiness activities.
- Direct factory readiness, pilot builds, manufacturing ramp-up, and programs improving yield, throughput, cycle time, cost, and defect reduction.
- Provide technical leadership for automation, tooling, fixtures, end-of-line testing, MES/ERP data, traceability, and production dashboards.
- Resolve complex manufacturing issues and partner with Engineering, Quality, Reliability, Supply Chain, IT, Operations, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Systems Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 12 or more years of experience in manufacturing engineering, manufacturing excellence, or operations engineering.
- Experience with power electronics, high-voltage products, inverters, energy systems, or complex electromechanical equipment.
- Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, PFMEA, APQP, process validation, and capability analysis.
- Experience leading factory readiness, production launches, process development, continuous improvement, and technical relationships with contract manufacturers and strategic suppliers.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively across engineering, quality, operations, and suppliers.
