Manufacturing Engineer (APQP)

Location: Elyria, Ohio, United States; onsite manufacturing role

Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components for aerospace and defense applications, including pumps and thermal management systems.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes and methods for machined components and assemblies.
• Identify machining strategies, equipment, tooling, gages, feeds, speeds, and handling requirements.
• Create and maintain production routings from raw material issuance through production, assembly, and testing.
• Develop, test, source, and cost-justify tools, machinery, and equipment, including implementation documentation and training.
• Own assigned manufacturing processes, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate corrective actions with other functional groups.
• Prepare component and assembly cost estimates and create or modify NC/CNC programs where applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in precision machining or automotive manufacturing.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, flow, layout, assembly, production equipment, GD&T, and CAD.
• Proficiency with APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and related AS9145 process controls.
• Automation or machining experience is highly desired.
• Where access to controlled data or information is required, only US Persons will be considered due to ITAR requirements.
