RF Hardware Engineer Associate (Winter 2027)

Location: San Francisco, United States; onsite spacecraft hardware work

Base salary: $1,925 per week

What you will do

• Design, simulate, implement, and measure passive and active RF subsystems at microwave frequencies.
• Develop hardware including low-noise amplifiers, power amplifiers, up/down converters, filters, and oscillators.
• Integrate RF systems into spacecraft in collaboration with the broader engineering team.
• Use spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, and similar equipment for RF measurements.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in electrical engineering, physics, applied physics, or a related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of transmission lines, impedance matching, filter design, and active RF circuits.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and testing microwave RF hardware.
• Experience with RF simulation tools such as ADS or HFSS.
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of antennas and electromagnetic propagation.
• Experience with software-defined radios and automated RF measurements.
• PCB design experience using Altium or similar schematic and layout tools.
• Experience with Python or another object-oriented programming language.
