Senior Electromagnetics Engineer (RF/Microwave): Designing, modeling, integrating, and testing RF and electromagnetic systems for directed energy, high-power microwave, pulsed power, and related R&D programs with an accent on applied electromagnetic theory, computational modeling, and laboratory measurements. Focus on leading electromagnetic analysis, correlating experimental data with analytical and numerical predictions, troubleshooting complex RF systems, and mentoring engineers.
Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States; full-time onsite at the headquarters

What you will do
- Lead electromagnetic analysis and design efforts for RF and electromagnetic systems.
- Develop and evaluate computational electromagnetic models using analytical and numerical methods.
- Plan and execute RF and microwave measurements in a hands-on laboratory environment.
- Correlate measured results with analytical and computational predictions.
- Integrate electromagnetic components with electrical and mechanical engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot complex RF systems, communicate technical results, and mentor less experienced engineers.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance are required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Physics, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in electromagnetics, RF, microwave, or related technologies; a Master’s degree in STEM may substitute for 2 years.
- Strong knowledge of electromagnetic fields, wave propagation, transmission lines, impedance matching, and practical electromagnetic analysis.
- Experience with computational electromagnetic modeling, RF or microwave laboratory measurements, and experimental data analysis.
- Ability to solve technical problems independently and collaborate within a multidisciplinary R&D team.
Nice to have
- Master’s or doctoral degree focused on electromagnetics, RF, or microwave engineering.
- Experience with ANSYS HFSS, CST Studio Suite, FEKO, COMSOL Multiphysics, or similar tools.
- Experience with antenna design and measurement, waveguides, transmission lines, resonators, RF components, or custom electromagnetic hardware.
- Experience with near-field and far-field measurements, RF instrumentation, electromagnetic compatibility, shielding, grounding, or susceptibility analysis.
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance, or experience with MATLAB, Python, high-power RF, directed-energy systems, pulsed RF, or time-domain electromagnetic analysis.
