TL;DR
Senior M365 Engineer (Microsoft 365): Engineering and continuously enhancing Microsoft 365 services across an international media organisation with an accent on platform security, identity, automation, and operational reliability. Focus on leading complex technical projects, solving escalated service issues, developing PowerShell tooling, and mentoring engineers across Microsoft 365 technologies.
Location: UK based, with occasional travel to London and Peterborough offices; hybrid working.

What you will do
- Act as a subject matter expert across Microsoft 365 technologies.
- Lead the technical delivery of Microsoft 365 projects, platform enhancements, and roadmap initiatives.
- Support Microsoft 365 security initiatives and collaborate with Architecture, Security, Product, and Support teams.
- Provide expert third-line support and resolve complex escalated issues through root cause analysis.
- Develop PowerShell automation, tooling, documentation, implementation plans, and operational runbooks.
- Mentor engineers and drive continuous improvement across Microsoft 365 services.
Requirements
- Proven experience engineering and supporting Microsoft 365 in a medium-to-large enterprise environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Strong experience with hybrid identity environments, including Entra Connect.
- Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 security and identity technologies, including Conditional Access, MFA, and Privileged Identity Management.
- Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills, with experience using Microsoft Graph, managed identities, and app-based authentication.
- Experience delivering complex technical projects, service improvements, troubleshooting, technical documentation, and stakeholder communication.
Nice to have
- Experience with Microsoft Purview, eDiscovery, DLP, Information Protection, and Retention.
- Experience delivering Microsoft 365 migrations across Exchange, SharePoint Online, or OneDrive.
- Experience with Azure Automation, Microsoft Entra Suite, Global Secure Access, Access Packages, or Identity Governance.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, or enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, Halo, Monday.com, or GitHub.
- Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, SC-300, or equivalent.
