TL;DR
Head of IT (Intune/Entra ID): Running identity, endpoint management, SaaS access lifecycle, IT service management, budgeting, and vendor relationships for a 75-user hybrid insurance business with an accent on automation, security, and operational control. Focus on building repeatable joiner, mover, and leaver processes, scripting integrations across approximately 70 SaaS tools, and leading complex technical work and stakeholder change communications.
Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid with 2 in-office days per week

What you will do
- Own identity and access management across Entra ID and Google Workspace, including SSO, MFA, conditional access, and group structures.
- Manage approximately 75 macOS and Windows endpoints through Intune, including enrolment, compliance, patching, encryption, application deployment, and hardware lifecycle.
- Automate provisioning and deprovisioning across approximately 70 SaaS tools using scripting and vendor APIs.
- Build IT service management, asset management, SLAs, and joiner, mover, and leaver processes with appropriate evidence and controls.
- Own the IT budget, supplier relationships, contracts, renewals, pricing, and performance.
- Lead and develop at least one team member while communicating technical changes to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on Intune experience across macOS and Windows.
- Strong Entra ID administration and tenant-level Google Workspace administration.
- Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash; familiarity with n8n is relevant to the current automation environment.
- Experience creating joiner, mover, and leaver processes, access reviews, or asset management from the ground up.
- Experience managing and developing at least one person.
- Experience owning an IT budget and communicating complex changes to company-wide stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with a carve-out, tenant migration, or post-acquisition consolidation.
- Experience in regulated financial services and supporting audit or assurance work.
- Experience as the first or only IT hire in an organisation.
