Senior Static Stress Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Wichita, Kansas, United States; on-site with up to 20% telework permitted. Current US work authorization is required.

What you will do

• Support airline in-service fleets with aircraft structural repair solutions.
• Create integrated, certified engineering repairs that restore aircraft to an airworthy condition.
• Perform complex stress and strength analyses using classical hand methods, finite element analysis, and industry-standard techniques.
• Collaborate with Design, Fatigue, and other hirify.global departments to develop repair and modification solutions.
• Manage personal and team workflow and guide projects through successful completion.
• Prepare technical documents and presentations for internal and airline customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in structural design, analysis, and mechanics of materials in the aerospace industry.
• Experience with static analysis of airframe structures using classical hand analysis, FEA, Bruhn, and Niu methods.
• Experience designing and justifying complex aircraft structural repairs and interpreting SRM, NTM, AMM, CMM, or IPC documentation.
• Experience using CATIA and programming or automation tools such as Excel-VBA, Python, or JavaScript.
• Must have current US work authorization; visa sponsorship is not available for this US position.
