Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Vascular Surgery)

Location: 1000 N. Westmoreland, Lake Forest, Illinois, United States. Full-time, onsite, day schedule with four 10-hour shifts on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday; Thursday off.

Salary: USD 61–79.67 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide inpatient vascular surgery consultations and periodic support for the outpatient clinic.
• Assess patients through health histories, physical examinations, diagnostic testing, and clinical evaluation.
• Provide direct care and prescribe or order medications, therapies, laboratory tests, imaging, and procedures within clinical privileges.
• Educate patients, families, staff, and external groups on relevant clinical topics.
• Collaborate with physicians and other disciplines, make referrals, and serve as a clinical consultant.
• Participate in quality improvement, research, committees, mentoring, and preceptorship activities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing school or Physician Assistant program.
• Acute care certification is required for APRNs; inpatient NP experience may be accepted instead.
• Current applicable Illinois licensure is required: Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licenses for APRNs, or Physician Assistant license for PAs.
• National APRN certification approved by the Illinois APRN Board, where applicable, and credentialing through the hirify.global Medical Staff Office.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Eligibility to apply for a controlled substance license and DEA number after licensure.
