Staff Software Engineer (Agentic AI)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States

Salary: $129,500–$214,000 annual base pay, plus potential performance-based bonus and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain production-grade AI agents using Google ADK and other agentic platforms.
• Develop tool integrations, plugins, MCP servers, APIs, and multi-agent orchestration workflows for hirify.global’s HCM platform.
• Define technical strategy and architecture for large-scale agentic AI initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional delivery of complex agent-powered projects and communicate architectures to non-technical stakeholders.
• Implement agent operations, monitoring, telemetry, versioning, cost tracking, execution tracing, and failure analysis.
• Mentor engineers and promote testing, safety, reliability, and engineering excellence practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience, including 2+ years building production agentic AI systems or LLM-powered applications.
• Deep expertise in one or more languages such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Google ADK, Anthropic Claude SDK, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar agentic frameworks.
• Experience with multi-agent systems, prompt and context engineering, tool-use architectures, enterprise APIs, REST, MCP, function calling, cloud platforms, and scalable software architecture.

• Experience with AutoGen, Crew AI, Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or related emerging agentic AI technologies.
• Experience leading large-scale agentic AI initiatives and influencing technical decisions across an organization.
