What you will do
- Provide technical expertise and leadership for daily manufacturing operations and production lines.
- Supervise production personnel and collaborate with support functions to meet safety, quality, compliance, production, waste, efficiency, and cycle-time targets.
- Support special projects, pilot operations, product and process improvements, process transfers, new product introductions, and validation activities.
- Manage human, capital, and material resources, including capital expense forecasts and equipment and spare-parts budgets.
- Drive lean manufacturing initiatives such as line balancing, continuous-flow manufacturing, inventory reduction, performance measurement, and workplace organization.
- Develop employees, mentor production associates, coordinate manufacturing communications, and support labor-issue resolution with Human Resources.
Requirements
- Knowledge of quality-system requirements, with a basic understanding of lean manufacturing, quality control, and production control.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and related computer software.
- Leadership, teamwork, communication, customer-focused decision-making, initiative, creativity, and assertiveness.
- Basic understanding of EHS regulations and Mexican labor regulations.
- Experience or knowledge related to manufacturing processes, assembly operations, GMP, compliance, supervision, and validation.
- Bilingual English and Spanish skills are preferred.
