Senior People Partner (Healthcare)

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid work with regular time spent in clinics

What you will do

• Build Neko’s German clinical organisation, including the workforce plan, staffing model, clinic roles, operating structure, and launch readiness.
• Establish the German employment framework covering contracts, working-time models, rostering, pay structures, policies, payroll, and people systems.
• Develop the German clinical employer proposition with Talent Acquisition and create a reusable playbook for future markets.
• Partner with clinical, medical, operations, and clinic leaders on hiring, performance, employee relations, leadership development, and change adoption.
• Monitor clinic staffing, absence, leave, part-time work, qualifications, mobility, and labour-market constraints against the growth plan.
• Contribute German clinical expertise to the global People Partner strategy and support wider European market growth.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a senior People or HR Business Partner leader across senior leadership and frontline management populations.
• Experience building or scaling operations in Germany or establishing a German people function from close to nothing.
• Deep practical knowledge of German employment law and co-determination, including the judgement to involve external counsel when needed.
• Experience creating staffing models for opening-based growth and localising German reward structures, including pay, pensions, and equity.
• Experience leading reorganisations, new operating models, rapid scaling, and organisational change while maintaining trust and delivery.
• Fluent German and English, based in Berlin, with regular clinic attendance required.
