HR Director DACH (Cosmetics) (Human Resources): Leading the people strategy, organizational change, talent, leadership, employee relations, and compliant HR operations for approximately 500 employees across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland with an accent on transformation, labour relations, and workforce effectiveness. Focus on leading a five-person HR team, negotiating with works councils and unions, managing complex employee relations matters, and implementing people plans across three legal jurisdictions.
Location: Darmstadt, Germany, with up to 50% remote working. The role covers Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

What you will do
- Own the DACH people strategy across two business units and approximately 500 employees.
- Lead transformation, reorganization, organizational development, workforce planning, and cultural change programmes.
- Partner with business leaders, Centres of Excellence, HR Services, employees, and employee representatives.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing HR team of five professionals.
- Manage complex employee and labour relations matters, including works council, trade union, and social partner negotiations.
- Ensure compliant HR operations, governance, data privacy, health and safety, and labour-law practices across three countries.
Requirements
- Fluent German at native or full professional proficiency and fluent English are mandatory.
- At least 15 years of HR experience, including the last 5 years in a DACH leadership position.
- Demonstrable experience leading transformation, restructuring, reorganization, integration, and cultural change programmes.
- Strong expertise in German co-determination, works councils, collective bargaining, and complex employee and labour relations.
- Experience leading and developing HR teams in a strategic and hands-on capacity.
- Degree in HR, Law, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Experience with Austrian and Swiss labour law and employee representation.
- Background in B2C, beauty, consumer products, retail, or other fast-paced consumer-facing industries.
- International experience or a postgraduate qualification.
