Lead Value Engineer (Mining)

Location: Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil; onsite five days a week. Full-time position with up to 25% travel, including customer site visits.

What you will do

• Lead regional value engineering and customer business case analysis for new pursuits and existing mining sites.
• Establish operational, production, cost, and performance baselines using customer and benchmark data.
• Build value simulations and business case models for MineStar technologies, including autonomous haulage, fleet management, and onboard and underground solutions.
• Apply mine planning expertise to assess haul cycles, fleet sizing, equipment utilization, material movement, and operational constraints.
• Partner with Commercial, Sales, Performance Intelligence, Performance Monitoring, dealers, and Customer Value Enablement teams.
• Define value targets, support value realization reviews, present findings to customer and executive stakeholders, and contribute to global value engineering standards.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of surface and/or underground mining operations, including load and haul, fleet management, productivity, and cost drivers.
• Experience with short- and long-term mine planning, production scheduling, fleet sizing, haulage analysis, and operational or financial outcomes.
• Ability to build value baselines, business cases, financial models, benchmarks, and simulations using operational, production, financial, and performance data.
• Working knowledge of MineStar, autonomous haulage, fleet management, or similar mining technologies.
• Strong consulting, customer relationship management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; advanced English is required.

• Advanced degree or business or finance qualification.
• Experience with mine planning, simulation, scheduling, analytics tools, Excel modeling, Power BI, or similar solutions.
• Customer-facing experience in commercial pursuits, consulting, or technical sales.
• Experience working across cultures and with remote, site-based, and customer-embedded teams.
