Billing Specialist (SaaS)

Location: Remote in Toronto or Vancouver, Canada

Salary: 60,000–75,000 CAD base salary per year

What you will do

• Generate, review, and process invoices for new, recurring, and adjusted customer contracts.
• Upload invoices to customer portals and process billing adjustments, credits, and cancellations.
• Respond to customer and internal billing inquiries concerning invoices, payment status, and account activity.
• Maintain accurate billing documentation across Maxio, Salesforce, and NetSuite.
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, Accounts Receivable, Revenue, and Accounting teams to verify contract and pricing details.
• Prepare billing summaries, exception reports, reconciliations, and ad hoc customer reports using Excel.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in billing, accounting, or a related financial operations role, preferably in SaaS or subscription-based business.
• Knowledge of SaaS contracts, recurring revenue, subscription billing models, basic accounting principles, and billing best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and reconciliation reports.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, customer service, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage high transaction volumes, competing priorities, deadlines, customer portals, invoice uploads, and credential management.
• Experience with Maxio, Salesforce, NetSuite, or similar billing and ERP systems is preferred.

• Ashirify.globalate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
