Registered Nurse III - PRN

Location: Bryan, Texas or Crockett, Texas; work includes driving to schools and patients' homes in a University vehicle.

What you will do

• Provide direct patient care, assessments, triage, treatments, medication administration, and preventive education.
• Deliver comprehensive nursing services through the school-based Mobile Clinic at schools and patients' homes.
• Operate and maintain the Mobile Clinic, including medical supply, medication, equipment inventory, requisitions, and sterilization.
• Maintain patient records, assess health care needs, educate patients, and report patient progress and data.
• Participate in the Mobile Clinic team, community coalition, program meetings, outreach, training, and professional development.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four years of clinical nursing experience.
• Texas RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification and a Texas Class C driver's license, or ability to obtain one within 30 days.
• Knowledge of standard nursing procedures, electronic medical records, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively, multitask, maintain confidentiality, and work a flexible schedule.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
• Experience with electronic health records, preferably eCW.
