Salary: $209,000–$270,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead the discovery, evaluation, and advancement of automation technologies, applications, market opportunities, and growth initiatives.
• Analyze markets, technologies, competitors, customer feedback, applications, and industry trends to identify unmet needs and differentiated value.
• Build and manage a pipeline of strategic opportunities based on customer needs, market dynamics, technology developments, and innovation initiatives.
• Translate validated market opportunities into product requirements, development initiatives, product strategies, technology roadmaps, and business cases.
• Partner with Marketing, Product Management, Sales and Customer Service, Engineering Services, R&D, and technical subject-matter experts.
• Represent the organization through customer engagement, industry forums, standards organizations, technical committees, training, presentations, mentoring, and intellectual property development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an applicable discipline.
• 15+ years of working knowledge and experience with electric power systems or equivalent transferable industry experience.
• Recognized leadership and expertise in automation and related technologies, applications, products, and market segments.
• Expertise in SCADA, EMS, DMS, communications networks, substation automation, IEDs, and automation systems for generation, transmission, distribution, or industrial facilities.
• Strong technical training, writing, documentation, speaking, customer service, teamwork, and mentoring skills.
• Willingness to travel as required; satisfactory background check and negative drug test required.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in an engineering discipline.
• Experience authoring and presenting technical papers.
• US patents related to the company’s mission or experience as a major inventor.
• Registered Professional Engineer credential.
