Engineer, Desktop Software (Medical Devices)

Location: On-site in Irvine, California, United States

Salary: $70,000–$100,000 annual salary, plus eligibility for up to a 10% annual bonus.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain desktop applications that interface with hirify.global medical devices.
• Implement software from defined requirements and designs with guidance from experienced engineers.
• Write clear code and tests, investigate defects, and improve application reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to deliver and support software releases.
• Contribute to all stages of desktop application development, from conception through final product.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in computer science or a related field and 2+ years of software development experience.
• Programming experience in C, C++, Python, or a similar language.
• Experience developing, debugging, and testing software.
• Familiarity with Git or another version control system.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with other engineers.
• Ability to work on-site in Irvine, California.

Nice to have

• Experience developing desktop applications, particularly with Qt.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Interest in medical devices or regulated software development.
