What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and roll out software that improves semiconductor inspection machines.
• Analyze system behavior and develop solutions for critical customer issues and requirements.
• Evaluate next-generation system concepts through trade-off studies, risk identification, and mitigation planning.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, service, and geographically distributed engineering teams.
• Lead and mentor engineers throughout the product development cycle.

Requirements

• Doctorate with 0 years of related experience, master's degree with 3 years of related experience, or bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience.
• Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, distributed systems, and multithreaded and multiprocess programming.
• Understanding of functional programming and its trade-offs compared with object-oriented programming.
• Production development experience with C++, Python, or Java.
• Experience with large systems, subsystem interfaces, large-scale data, ETL pipelines, storage, or visualization.
• Ability to turn abstract problems into concrete requirements and designs through collaboration.
