Manufacturing Systems Software Development Engineer (Database)

Location: On-site in Hillsboro, Oregon or Phoenix, Arizona, United States. Shift 7 is a 12-hour day shift running Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday.

Salary: $52,000–$200,000 annual target compensation for an hourly role in the United States.

What you will do

• Provide Level 2 technical support for database systems and data loader processes.
• Troubleshoot and maintain database and data integration operations in an automated manufacturing environment.
• Resolve complex technical issues involving database systems, data loaders, monitoring, and alerts.
• Support end users with database and data integration challenges.
• Operate in a mission-critical 24x7 support environment and follow established procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, computer engineering, or a related STEM field.
• At least 6 months of experience with scripting using SQL, Python, PowerShell, or similar tools.
• At least 6 months of experience with current IT technologies such as Windows Server, ServiceNow, ITIL, iCloud, or VMware.
• At least 1 year of experience with relational databases and database engineering or administration support.
• At least 1 year of experience with automated monitoring and alerting systems.
• Ability to work on-site in the United States and in a 24x7 support environment.

Nice to have

• SQL query writing and optimization experience.
• Experience administering SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of database concepts, backup and recovery, monitoring tools, and performance metrics.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and ITIL or incident management processes.
