2nd Shift RN, Occ Health (Occupational Health)

Location: On-site in Middletown, Connecticut, United States. Full-time second shift, Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM.

Salary: $40.80–$51.00 per hour. $3,000 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Provide occupational healthcare as the sole nurse on the second shift and manage daily clinic operations independently.
• Evaluate, treat, and prioritize patients, including injured workers, within the scope of practice.
• Coordinate case management, transitional duty, return-to-work programs, and follow-up care.
• Perform and document physical evaluations, medical tests, screenings, treatments, and workplace health assessments.
• Administer medications and emergency care, maintain equipment and medical records, and follow infection control procedures.
• Support accident investigations, injury prevention, workplace safety initiatives, and employee health education.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an Associate degree in Nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in occupational health, emergency, ambulatory care, or a related clinical setting.
• Experience with workplace health screenings and education, fitness-for-duty evaluations, workplace hazard mitigation, and return-to-work exams.
• Occupational Health, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management certification is preferred and may be required at some sites; ACLS may also be required depending on the contract scope.
