Location: Auckland City Campus, Auckland, New Zealand. Hybrid flexibility includes working from home and flexible hours; the role also involves school visits, events, and campus-based engagement.

Salary: NZD 73,400–90,700 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

  • Manage an assigned portfolio of secondary schools and build relationships with students, teachers, careers advisers, and school communities.
  • Represent the University at school visits, information evenings, events, and other engagement activities.
  • Deliver presentations and facilitate conversations with students, teachers, school leaders, and whānau.
  • Support the attraction and engagement of high-achieving students, including those considering Cambridge and IB pathways.
  • Use application, enrolment, and engagement data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas of focus.
  • Develop tailored resources and digital content, coordinate major University events, and collaborate with faculties, marketing, communications, and student services.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with confidence engaging groups of young people.
  • Ability to build professional relationships, tailor communication to different audiences, and manage multiple priorities, events, and projects.
  • Confidence working with data, systems, and digital tools, plus an analytical and solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong customer and stakeholder focus with appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Full, clean New Zealand driver licence required.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the New Zealand secondary school sector or tertiary environment.
  • Experience with academically focused schools or Cambridge and IB programmes.
  • Understanding of te ao Māori and confidence engaging respectfully with Māori and Pacific communities.
