Senior Distributed Systems Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable distributed systems for the services layer.
• Build cloud provisioning abstractions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Analyze and resolve fault-tolerance, high-availability, performance, and scale challenges.
• Balance consistency, durability, usability, performance, and infrastructure costs.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with engineers, product managers, and Technical Program Managers.
• Ensure operational readiness and meet customer availability and performance commitments.

Requirements

• 7+ years of industry experience designing, building, and supporting large-scale production systems.
• 2+ years of experience leading groups of junior and senior engineers.
• Experience building distributed, fault-tolerant services and control planes involving compute, storage, networking configuration, and monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems, multithreading, memory management, networking, storage, data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Systems programming experience with fluency in C++ or Java preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science; a Master’s degree or PhD is preferred.

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science.
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
