Director of Desktop System Management (Endpoint Management)

Location: United States of America; flexible hybrid work with occasional in-person events or team sessions

Salary: $160,965–$349,885 per year, plus potential discretionary annual bonus or commissions

What you will do

• Lead global endpoint architecture, desktop systems engineering, IT support, and user technology operations across macOS, Windows, and Linux.
• Modernize new-hire onboarding through hardware delivery, security software, access provisioning, and zero-touch deployment profiles.
• Direct Global Service Desk operations, support verification standards, incident workflows, and self-service tools such as password reset automation.
• Define the enterprise MDM and automated provisioning strategy using Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, and related platforms.
• Partner with InfoSec, Threat Management, and Security Operations on endpoint protection, encryption, zero-trust policies, vulnerability management, and compliance.
• Recruit and develop desktop engineering and IT service delivery teams while driving SLA/SLO accountability and operational metrics.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience managing desktop systems engineering or IT service management teams at scale.
• Deep expertise in enterprise macOS and Windows administration, Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune/SCCM, and modern MDM/UEM tools.
• Experience with Yubikey hardware authentication, Okta identity providers, password self-service platforms, and zero-trust security frameworks.
• Experience establishing IT support verification standards, incident response workflows, and service management platforms such as Jira Service Management or ServiceNow.
• Proven success modernizing IT workflows, zero-touch deployment models, and identity or security tooling.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with Security, HR, Operations, Legal, Workplace Resources, and business leaders.
