Remote Assistance Operator (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: On-site at the Remote Operations Center in Austin, Texas; available to local candidates only. Full-time rotating shifts include mornings and evenings, including weekends. Remote work and relocation are not available.

Salary: $25.00 USD per hour

What you will do

• Monitor assigned autonomous vehicles using the Remote Command interface, live camera feeds, and real-time system data.
• Proactively intervene when needed and troubleshoot or escalate technical and operational issues.
• Log interventions, observations, anomalies, and operational metrics in real time using Notion and Google Sheets.
• Conduct post-trip reviews and participate in root cause analysis and incident post-mortem sessions.
• Contribute to the edge-case knowledge base and communicate key context during shift handoffs.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in live operations, fleet operations, teleoperations, dispatch, systems monitoring, or a similar real-time environment.
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues, documenting escalations, and monitoring live camera feeds or system data.
• Experience with Jira, YouTrack, or similar ticketing systems.
• Basic understanding of U.S. traffic laws and right-of-way rules, plus a clean driving record.
• Strong written communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Nice to have

• Experience with autonomous vehicles, robotics, or transportation technology.
• Familiarity with AV data annotation, triage, or AI training workflows.
• Technical background in robotics, automotive or EV systems, avionics, IT or network operations, or military UAV operations.
• Experience with root cause analysis or incident post-mortem reviews.
