Project Manager (Heavy Highway – Roadway/Bridge Projects)

Location: Chesapeake, Virginia, in the Tidewater region

Company

General contractor delivering heavy civil and industrial construction projects, including highways, bridges, underground utilities, water and wastewater facilities, and marine construction.

What you will do

• Plan, direct, and coordinate heavy highway and roadway/bridge construction projects.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing plans, resources, and project procedures.
• Lead Project Engineers, Superintendents, Foremen, and construction personnel.
• Coordinate project activities with governmental agencies, clients, project staff, and subcontractors.
• Prepare project reports, review status updates, and adjust schedules and plans as required.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve project and construction problems.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Experience managing heavy highway, roadway, or bridge construction projects.
• Ability to analyze and execute CPM-based project schedules.
• Experience supervising, assigning, evaluating, and developing construction personnel.
