Salary: $97,700–$130,300 annually

What you will do

• Investigate and evaluate title insurance claims, determine loss and defense coverage liability, and resolve claims.
• Establish settlement and expense reserves and determine when outside counsel is needed.
• Manage claims and litigation through final resolution.
• Negotiate with claimants, opposing counsel, and third parties.
• Attend mediations and required court appearances or legal proceedings.
• Review legal invoices and assist with initial recovery evaluations.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice law in the United States and licensed in good standing.
• Law degree required.
• Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in the relevant legal specialization.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Typically 2–4 years of professional experience in title insurance or title underwriting, with knowledge of insurance claims and resolution.
