Medical Assistant (Healthcare)

Location: Onsite in Maple Grove, Minnesota, United States

Salary: $24.00–$28.00 per hour; a $2,000 sign-on bonus is also offered.

What you will do

• Interview patients and measure vital signs, including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient health records.
• Prepare treatment rooms and clean and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications and injections, perform laboratory tests, and operate EKG and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations.
• Support front-desk operations, schedule appointments, make follow-up calls, and order medical supplies.

Requirements

• National Medical Assisting certification from an approved organization, or a certificate/diploma and transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with a completed, passed hands-on externship; fully online courses are not accepted.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider.
• Required credentials and education must be verifiable with certification, diploma, transcript, and BLS documentation during pre-employment credentialing.
• CMA certification must be issued by a recognized certifying body approved by the applicable Board of Medical Examiners.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
