Medical Assistant (New Jersey)

Location: Field-based throughout New Jersey; candidates must reside in or near a covered New Jersey service area and travel daily to members' homes.

Salary: $23–$27 per hour. The posting also lists an initial salary range of $20–$27 per hour.

What you will do

• Partner with providers during in-home visits for members with complex healthcare needs.
• Gather medical histories, patient information, and vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and other clinical support activities.
• Provide patient education and engagement support while helping close preventive and chronic care gaps.
• Document care activities in electronic medical record systems and coordinate pre-visit and post-visit work.
• Maintain field supplies and equipment while traveling across assigned New Jersey counties.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• At least one year of healthcare experience.
• Current BLS certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for field visits.
• Experience with electronic health records and the ability to work independently in a field-based setting.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills required.

Nice to have

• Home health, primary care, risk adjustment, Medicare Advantage, value-based care, population health, community-based care, or care management experience.
• Current CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification.
